On May 4th, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois, Amber and I were married!
We had met almost three years earlier at a church party held at my apartment and, according to Amber, she knew that night that I was the one she was going to marry. It wasn’t until a year later, however, that I finally got the nerve to ask Amber on our first date to my company Christmas party. While we had been friends, it was that night that we confessed how we were really interested in each other.
After going out for about two years, I set up a special date for us. I gave Amber a gift of a day spa at Mario Tricoci’s salon, picked her up from the salon for a night at the Chicago Symphony orchestra, and then took her to dinner at top of the John Hancock building. After dinner, I had the chef bring out a special dessert plate for Amber on which was written, with chocolate syrup, the question “Will You Marry Me?”
We’ve now been enjoying our married life together and are excited about what further adventures God has for us.

Tim, I received a Christmas letter from your mom and she gave me the family website and after looking at the pictures of the grandkids and I saw that you had a website I needed to see your wedding pictures and your beautiful bride. They are absolutely wonderful and I’m so happy for you and Amber and pray God’s abundant blessings on you and your future. Please ask your mom to email me sometime when she has time I would love to write her also. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Blessed New Year.
Love, Paula Lawley
